Dr. Eleftherios Tzellas

Chairman and Managing Director,

HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.A.

Mr. Tzellas was born in Karditsa in 1945. Married with one daughter 21 years old.

He is a graduate of Athens University, Dept of Mathematics and he has a Philosophical Degree (Ph.D.) in Operational Research from Lancaster University, England-U.K.

Mr. Tzellas served as special secretary in the Ministry of National Economy. Additionally, Secretary General in both Ministries of National Defense and Development. Moreover, he has been Adviser to the European Union Committee, as well as to other state Organization, Enterprises and Corporations.

He is a top Executive Member of Agricultural Bank of Greece. Chairman and Managing Director of Public Petroleum Corporation (PPC) and Chairman of Hellenic Aspropyrgos Refinery since November 1996.

Following restructuring of PPC, Introduced now as " HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.A." group of companies, he assumed position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Managing Director and CEO, as well as Chairman of " EKO - ELDA AB.E.E." , subsidiary company of Hellenic Petroleum.
