Elliniki Technodomiki Group Elliniki Technodomiki Group is the leading construction group in Greece. The parent company Elliniki Technodomiki S.A. was the first construction company to begin the consolidating process in the domestic construction market by making such large acquisitions as Technical Company of Volos (TEB) and AKTOR, both listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, to form the largest construction group in Greece. Just recently the Group acquired a 50% stake in TOMI S.A. The company is distinguished for the contemporary and effective management and for successful performance in seviron mental projects. With this new business movement, the Elliniki - Aktor - TEB Group reinforces its leading position in the construction market. The size of the Group allows the establishment of control and risk management mechanisms. The Group employs a skilful and specialized personnel with experience and know how in infrastructure, foundation, port, hydrolic, bridge, electro-mechanical/industrial, building and Motorway construction projects. The Group has set a number of long-term goals based on its significant growth. However, in order to position itself strategically for the period after the end of the EU Support Framework II (1994-2000) and the ??? (2001 -2007), the Group is expanding in sectors other than construction, and in services which will further increase its consolidated financial results. One of these sectors is real estate development, and the Group's policy is to invest in areas that have or are expected to have high commercial value. For this reason the Group's TEB company approved the merger with Mesogaia Holdings S.A., which owns two large pieces of real estate-more than 100 acres each-close to the new Athens airport next to the Athens new Ring Road. Further strengthening its presence in this sector, the group entered into a strategic alliance agreement with National Bank of Greece in August of 2000 for further cooperation with the bank's real estate arm. Another sector significant to the Group's income, is the investment in Build Operate Transfer (BOT) projects. Possessing considerable know how in this sector, the Group is already participating with a 35,0% stake in the Athens Ring Road acting as a Leader for Concession and construction and a 15.4% stake in the Rio-Antirio bridge projects and plans to also participate in the future in BOT projects. The third sector of new business activity for the Elliniki Technodomiki Group is services. The first priority of the Group is the energy sector, since the energy market has been deregulated beginning this year. To enter the energy production market, the Group has already established a joint venture with INTRACOM. The Group also plans to participate in the gas distribution networks. The Group also pursues international expansion of its activities in the Balkans. The Group has been active in Moldova since 1995, participating in the design, construction and operation of port terminal facilities and liquid fuel storage tanks in Giurgiulesti in the Danube River. Elliniki Technodomiki is furthermore searching for opportunities in Europe, which is regarded as a promising region for development with low risk.
