Mr. Karakostas is the Head of Investment Banking, and Member of the B.o.D. of MARFIN Investment Services S.A.. He has extensive experience in a wide range of activities that span the Investment Banking area, such as merger and acquisitions, capital markets operations, debt and equity-linked issues, financial and business restructuring and strategy as Head of Investment Banking for Greece.

Prior appointments include senior management positions with Societe Generale, International Securities S.A. and the Alpha Bank Group.

Mr. Karakostas holds an MSc in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (L.S.E.), an MSc in Operational Research & Systems Analysis from the University of Aston in Birmingham and a BSc in Economics from the University of Athens, School of Economics.
