Zsolt E. Lavotha

Zsolt E. Lavotha, President & CEO of Lavipharm Corp., is a member of the Corporate Management Committee of Lavipharm Group. Mr. Lavotha has more than 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining Lavipharm, he served as President of Wyeth-Ayerst's Europe/Africa/Middle East operations, a $2 billion business. He has held senior positions at Pfizer, Rhone-Poulene Rorer, and Wyeth-Ayerst (a unit of American Home Products Corporation). At Pfizer he was, among other duties, responsible for successful launches of important drugs including Norvasc, the world's leading cardiovascular drug.

During his career, Mr. Lavotha has managed marketing and sales, medical affairs, clinical development, segments of R&D, manufacturing and business operations. His experience also includes acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and co-promotion arrangements. Mr. Lavotha successfully merged Wyeth-Ayerst's European operations with Lederle's Pharmaceutical business in record time following American Home Product's acquisition of American Cyanamid Corporation in 1994.

Mr. Lavotha was born in Hungary, lived in Finland and was educated in Sweden, prior to moving to the United States in 1984.
