2001 EUROPEAN SMALL CAP CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY CAPITAL LINK IN NYC IS GREAT SUCCESS

New York City, November 16th - The European Small Cap Conference took place today, Friday, November 16th, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The conference was organized by Capital Link, Inc., a New York based international investor relations and financial advisory firm.

Companies and securities firms from five European countries, Ireland, Belgium, France, Germany and Greece, presented at the conference. The luncheon keynote speaker was Kevin E. Pilarski, the Regional Director from STOXX. Mr. Pilarski presented on Europe's equity culture and prospects for the future.

Presenters included the securities firms and two companies from each country. From Ireland, NCB Stockbrokers Limited, and the two companies Waterford Wedgwood, IAWS Group, from Belgium Bank Dewaay S.A., Ackermans & van Haaren NV, N.V. Bekaert S.A., from France Oddo Securities, Ilog S.A., and Transiciel S.A., from Germany The New Germany Fund, and Medigene AG and from Greece CBG Investment Bank S.A., Delta Holding S.A. and Lavipharm, presented their companies' latest developments, their future plans, and their role in the European and international markets Within the content of the conference, Capital Link also organized one to one meetings with the US for the participating companies' senior management.

The Conference was a tremendous success as evidenced by the fact that more than 200 senior executives attended from US institutional investment firms, investment and commercial banks, insurance companies, and representatives of industries with business interests in various sectors. Attendees included US investment and securities firms such as Citigroup Asset Management, The Bank of New York, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Bear Stearns, Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch, Oppenheimer, ING Barings, Gabelli, HSBC Securities, TIAA-CREF, US Trust, Sierra Global Management, American Heritage Mgmt. Corp., UBS Warburg, Lazard Asset Mgmt., and many others in addition to the financial media from Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Bloomberg, and so on.
