ALAPIS S.A. announces that Capital Market Commission approved with its decision No. 9/10.02.2009 the sale of 4,437 common registered shares resulting from the non disposed fractional balances of the company's share capital increase. PIRAEUS SECURITIES was assigned to be the competent member of ATHEX to conduct the said sale.

The sale of the fractional balances will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009 according to par. 2.3.6 of the new ATHEX Regulation. The starting price for the shares auction cannot be below the closing price of the day preceding the auction, plus a 3% premium.

The member must inform at the same day the company, the "HELLENIC EXCHANGES S.A." as well as the Capital Market Commission about the result of the sale.

The proceeds of the sale will be deposited by the ATHEX member, on behalf of the company, to the Fund of Deposits and Loans.

The company will inform the investment community with a new announcement as regards the result of the sale, as well as the procedure that must be followed by the beneficiaries in order to collect the amount due by the Fund of Deposits and Loans.
