In accordance with Regulation of the Committee of European Community no 2273/2003, article 4, par.4, EFG Eurobank Ergasias S.A. ("the Bank") announces that according to Company Law 2190/1920, article 16, par. 5, and following the decision of the Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders of the Bank dated April 3, 2007 and the Board of Directors' resolution dated April 3, 2007, purchased own shares through the Athens Exchange Member EFG Eurobank Securities, as follows:

a) On 3 August 2007 the Bank purchased 13,500 shares, with average cost price euro 26.85 per share and total purchase price euro 362,509.09
b) On 6 August 2007 the Bank purchased 54,792 shares, with average cost price euro 26.27 per share and total purchase price euro 1,439,543.43
c) On 7 August 2007 the Bank purchased 75,000 shares, with average cost price euro 26.19 per share and total purchase price euro 1,964,177.66
d) On 8 August 2007 the Bank purchased 12,635 shares, with average cost price euro 26.52 per share and total purchase price euro 335,110.11
e)On 9 August 2007 the Bank purchased 177,500 shares, with average cost price euro 26.17 per share and total purchase price euro 4,645,919.36
