The Board of Directors of EFG Eurobank Ergasias S.A. announces that during its meeting yesterday (17.10.2007) it decided to propose to the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders, which will convene on 9.11.2007, the distribution to its shareholders of an interim dividend of 0.32 Euros per share, based on the Bank's net profits for the period 1.1.2007-30.6.2007.

Following the General Meeting resolution, the record date, the ex-interim dividend date and the payment date will be announced as required by law. It is estimated that the shares will trade ex-interim dividend on 22.11.2007 and the interim dividend will be paid on 3.12.2007.

Investors are reminded that the interim dividend for the year 2006 was paid on 8.12.2006, and amounted to 0.29 Euros per share, as adjusted for the number of shares issued following the Annual General Meeting on 3.4.07 and the Repeat Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting on 2.8.07.-
