Αthens, August 4, 2009 - Societe Anonyme under the name "Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA" (OTE SA), in accordance with Law 3556/2007, announces that:

According to the notification of the shareholder "HELLENIC REPUBLIC", on August 3, 2009, following a disposal of shares and voting rights, which took place on July 31 2009, HELLENIC REPUBLIC's, direct and indirect, participation in OTE SA's total voting rights stands at 20.00000045%, corresponding to 98,030,080 voting rights, whereas HELLENIC REPUBLIC's number of shares corresponds to 63,371,292 (following the transfer of 19,605,015 ΟΤΕ SA's shares to IKA-ETAM, which took place on 05.03.2009).

According to the aforementioned notification, before this transaction, HELLENIC REPUBLIC held, directly and indirectly, 25.0000004% of the total voting rights of OTE SA's share capital, corresponding to 122,537,599 voting rights, whereas the shares that it held amounted to 87,878,811.
