On 18th January 2009, the Sunday newspaper "TO VIMA TIS KIRIAKIS", published in error on page A6, that "This year's profit increase was 27% ...".

It is clarified that OPAP's net profit actual increase, was up 38,30% in the nine month 2008 period, as already reported in the 9M08 financial results announcement, on the 24th November 2008.
