Alpha Bank announces that, pursuant to the decisions of its General Meeting of Shareholders of 3.4.2008 and its Board of Directors of 1.7.2008, on 8.8.2008 it purchased, via Athex member Alpha Finance A.E.P.E.Y., 80,000 own shares for a total consideration of Euro 1,411.7 thousand.
