ASPIS PRONIA GENERAL INSURANCES S.A.

Continuous Increase in Premium Collections

December 11, 2007

The Aspis Group premium production figures in 2007 post continuous increase compared to the respective figures in 2006. As noted by Mr. Paul Psomiades, President of the Group total inflows of the Aspis Group insurance companies in Greece and abroad will exceed 500 million Euro by year end.
In particular, the life insurance division of ASPIS PRONIA GENERAL INSURANCES SA posted 37.4% net increase in premiums collected for the 11 months of 2007 in relation to the respective previous year period, while the liabilities division posted a 44.7% increase compared to the respective period.
It should be noted that there is also rapid increase in the two divisions' figures as regards new premium production.
In detail, the production of new premiums for the listed ASPIS PRONIA Life Insurance for the 11 months of 2007 reached 83.72% in relation to the respective period in 2006, while the increase for ASPIS PRONIA Liabilities reached 74.67% for the same period compared to the 11 months of the previous year.
In parallel, the expenses containment of ASPIS PRONIA GENERAL INSURANCES SA continues at the same rate, while the company expects to present a one digit figure for general expenses in proportion to its premium collected for 2008.
The significant increase of the premium production figures of ASPIS PRONIA is attributed by top executives of the ASPIS Group to the new attractive health care and pension insurance programs offered by the Group combined with the development of alternate sales networks, as well as to continuous training of insurers.

It should be noted that the above figures do not include premium production by subsidiaries of the Group abroad and in particular in Sweden, Cyprus, Albania and the branches in Germany that post continuous increase.

Referring to the growth rates of the ASPIS PRONIA life insurance and general insurance divisions Mr. Paul Psomiades, President of the Group, stressed that "already by the first half of the current year the ASPIS insurance group ranks second from the top, thus is the largest private insurance institution in Greece". Moreover, Mr. Psomiades referred to discussions of the ASPIS Group regarding the insurance market in Serbia and Bulgaria. Lastly, it is reminded that the ASPIS Group most recently acquired 29.54% of Universal Bank in Cyprus.
