Submission of supplementary data for the completion of the approval procedure of the public offer

January 26, 2007 Piraeus Bank announces that, in view of the approval of its Full Public Offer, aiming at acquiring not less than 40% and up to 100% of the share capital of Marfin Popular Bank Public Co. Ltd., and in response to the Cyprus Stock Exchange relevant document dated 24 January 2007, it will immediately submit all the supplementary data requested by the Cyprus Stock Exchange, so that the approval procedure may be completed.
