Pursuant to of the provisions of article 16, par. 10 of Law 2190/1920 and article 290, par. 2 of the ATHEX Regulation, Piraeus Bank S.A. announces its intention to acquire own shares, up to 10% of the total number of its shares, i.e. 27.019.503, during the period commencing on 16/04/2007 and ending on 03/04/2008. The minimum and maximum purchase price for the shares has been set between Euro 5 (minimum) and Euro 40 (maximum).
