Piraeus Bank announces that following the decision of the Annual Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting (dated 3.4.2008) and the resolution of the Board of Directors (dated 4.4.2008), it purchased own shares, through the ATHEX member Piraeus Securities S.A., as follows:

a) On 14/7/2008 the Bank purchased 26.000 shares, with average cost price euro 17,89 per share and total purchase price 465.080,00 euro

b) On 15/7/2008 the Bank purchased 170.000 shares, with average cost price euro 16,90 per share and total purchase price 2.873.786,00 euro

c) On 16/7/2008 the Bank purchased 12.754 shares, with average cost price euro 16,72 per share and total purchase price 213.276,24 euro
