Purchase of Own Shares
September 30, 2008 Piraeus Bank announces that following the decision of the Annual Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting (dated 3.4.2008) and the resolution of the Board of Directors (dated 4.4.2008), on 29/09/2008 it purchased 124.000 own shares, through the ATHEX member Piraeus Securities S.A., with average cost price euro 14,73 per share and total purchase price euro 1.826.215,00.
