January 22, 2007 The Management of HELLENIC DUTY FREE SHOPS SA wishes to inform the investing community that the financials of the recently acquired LINKS OF LONDON LTD, subsidiary of the company HELLENIC DISTRIBUTIONS are very positive.
In particular sales of LINKS for the five months period between August - December 2006, during which LINKS is consolidated in the financial statements of the Company, are expected to reach approximately euro 27.0 million from euro 19.5 million for the respective five months of 2005, an increase of 38.4%, EBITDA are expected to reach approximately euro 5.1 million from euro 2.5 million for the respective five months of 2005, an increase of 112.5%, while net earnings after tax are expected to reach approximately euro 4.2 million from euro 1.7 million for the respective period of 2005, increased by 143.5%.
The Chairman of the BoD, Mr. George Koutsolioutsos commented "We are already very satisfied from the performance of LINKS and our decision to acquire the UK based company last July is already justified. We are certain that LINKS will continue its positive performance in the future."
