GERMANOS SA Announces the Acquisition of Further 42.06% of its Share Capital

October 3, 2006 According to the resolution 5/204/14.11.2000 of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission as well as the Athens Stock Exchange regulation, GERMANOS SA announces that COSMOTE SA owner of 16,929,103 GERMANOS SA shares representing 20.753% of GERMANOS SA share capital, informed about the acquisition of further 34,261,710 GERMANOS SA shares representing 42.0% of GERMANOS SA share capital on the 2nd October 2006. Following this transaction, COSMOTE SA holds 62.75% (51,190,813 shares) of the Company's share capital.
