Elmec Sport SA announces that the subsidiary Attica Department Stores S.A., continued to grow successfully through the first administrative period - from 12/02/2004 to 31/12/2005 - where it achieved a profit (before tax) of 1,6 million euros (1,07 million euros net earnings or 0,009 euro per share of Elmec Sport) while the sales of attica, the department store, reached 60 million euros over the first year of its operation (from 07/04/2005 to 31/03/2006). Over the first quarter of 2006, the sales of attica, the department store reached 20 million euros. It is important to note that April 2006 sales were up 30% against April 2005.

This success is the result of reinforcing the department store with new brands, focusing on new target groups such as tourists, and increasing the company's promotional activities.

The rise in sales will be even higher once the whole building block, next to attica, is fully in operation and completed. It is also important to note that attica, the department store's number of visitors has exceeded 2 million, since it first opened.
