December 5, 2006 "CON. CARDASSILARIS & SONS - CARDICO" announces that the on-going strikes as of November 9th, 2006 at Piraeus Port Authority have an impact on the production and exporting activities of the company, especially during this critical period when dried nuts consumption at high levels. It is not yet possible to estimate the effect of the strikes on the company's financial results, since their termination date is not yet known, nor is it possible to assess the Port Authority's capability to properly serve CARDICO's needs after the termination of the strikes. The company makes every possible effort to minimize the consequences of the delays of arrival of cargos from various foreign countries.
