December 11, 2007 In regard to an article of "HRIMATISTIRIO" newspaper ATEbank announces the following: 1. ATEbank due to the application of Basel II is in the process of evaluating the effect of its participation in ATE Insurance regarding capital adequacy, as all the banks that participate in insurance companies do. ATEbank, in the event that any development arises and especially if any decisions are made by its Board of Directors regarding ATE Insurance's ownership, will inform in due time the investors through the regulatory bodies, as it always does. 2. ATEbank's Governor, Mr D. Miliakos, has resigned from the chairmanship and the Board of Directors of FBBank following the majority interest acquisition by the Restis Group. In the occurrence of any developments relating to FBBank's ownership, these will be properly announced.
