August 29, 2008 Bank of Cyprus ('the Bank'), decided to exercise its option to redeem the subordinated bonds 2008/2013 ('the Bonds') at their principal amount plus accrued interest. The date of redemption is the 3rd October 2008. The Bonds of total value euro 200 million are listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The Bank has obtained the approval of the Central Bank of Cyprus regarding the redemption of the Bonds.
