October 20, 2008 Alapis S.A. in response to the Capital Market Commission's Letter numbered 180/17.10.2008 and Athens Exchange's Letter numbered 39326/17.10.2008 with respect to press articles regarding the acquisition of the company Gerolymatos, informs the investment community that in order to realize its business plan within which it assesses various investment opportunities and strategic alliances, the company is negotiating the acquisition of 100% of the company PNG Gerolymatos SA, which have not as yet been finalized. ALAPIS SA, wishes once again to stress its commitment, which also consists an obligation, for promptly and accurately informing of its shareholders and the investment community, whenever there is any progress regarding any strategic alliance and/or acquisition of any company by ALAPIS S.A.
