May 19, 2008 EFG Eurobank Ergasias S.A. ("the Bank") announces, in accordance with Regulation of the Commission of the European Community no 2273/2003, article 4, par.4, that following the decision of the Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders of the Bank dated April 8, 2008, and the resolution of its Board of Directors of that date, it purchased own shares through the Athens Exchange Member EFG Eurobank Securities, as follows: a) On 9 May 2008 the Bank purchased 77,000 shares, with average cost price euro 18.63 per share and total purchase price euro 1,434,590.68 b) On 12 May 2008 the Bank purchased 10,500 shares, with average cost price euro 18.40 per share and total purchase price euro 193,158.56 c) On 15 May 2008 the Bank purchased 38,000 shares, with average cost price euro 18.67 per share and total purchase price euro 709,532.04 d) On 16 May 2008 the Bank purchased 17,000 shares, with average cost price euro 18.65 per share and total purchase price euro 317,086.53.
