August 1, 2007 In accordance with articles 16 (13) of codified law 2190/1920 and 291 of the Athens Exchange Regulations, Alpha Bank hereby announces that, in the period between 31.7.2007 and 31.8.2007, it will sell by way of private placement to institutional investors up to 3,505,992 treasury shares, representing up to 0.86% of the Bank's paid-up share capital, at a price not lower than Euro 23.30 per share.
