August 1, 2007 Alpha Bank refers to a resolution of its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders dated 3.4.2007 to repurchase own shares, in accordance with article 16 (5) of codified law 2190/1920, and to the resolution of its Board of Directors meeting held on 26.4.2007, according to which the Bank may repurchase, throughout the period from 2.5.2007 to 30.11.2007, up to 6,000,000 treasury shares at a purchase price per share no less than Euro 3.90 and no more than Euro 32.00. The Board of Directors of Alpha Bank, at its meeting on 31.7.2007, decided the termination as of 31.7.2007, of the current share buyback period (2.5.2007 to 30.11.2007).
