August 8, 2007 In reply to the Athens Exchange's letter 8.8.2007, we notify the following: Alpha Bank was informed about the decision of the Turkish Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, dated 7 August 2007, in relation to the non approval of the agreed transaction and, jointly with Anadolu group, shall determine their course of action.
