October 8, 2007 In reply to a letter by the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission dated 5.10.2007, Alpha Bank announces that, consequent upon the non-approval by the turkish regulatory authorities of an application to acquire a holding in companies Alternatifbank and Alternatiflease, Alpha Bank and the Anadolu Group have terminated, on a consensual basis, their business agreement for lack, at present, of a subject matter.
