Invitation to express interest for the development of an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) for the FTSE/ATHEX 20 Index

September 13, 2007 The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) in collaboration with the company FTSE International invites Mutual Fund Management Companies (AEDAK) to express their interest for the development of the first Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) in the Greek capital market. The issue of the first ETF will be linked with the FTSE/ATHEX 20 Index, the basic index tracking the performance of the Greek capital market and is constituted by the top 20 companies (in terms of capitalisation) that are traded on the Athens Exchange. Issuers who wish to express an interest for the development of the ETF linked to the FTSE/ATHEX 20 Index will have to do it starting today, i.e. from 13 September 2007 until 12 October 2007 at the latest. FTSE Group, in collaboration with the Athens Exchange will select the issuer of ETF. The development of the product in question, as well as its issue and distribution in the Greek market is expected to be realised by the end of 2007.
