January 23, 2008 Inauguration of a new hospital unit. "Athens Medical Center SA" introduces its new hospital "Peristeri Clinic" in Peristeri area. Athens Medical Center SA, the largest health care group in Greece and SEE, inaugurated today its new hospital unit, "Athens Medical Peristeri Clinic". This hospital is the 8 th unit of the group and is the most modern hospital unit in the west Attica area. "Athens Medical Persteri Clinic" is a state of the art hospital hosted in an ultramodern building, equipped with latest medical technology and staffed with qualified personnel. This unit is a general hospital unit, with 78 patient beds capacity, a 6-bed Intensive Care Unit, 5 operating theaters and a 5-bed "day clinic" department. The hospital also has outpatient services operating ona 24hour basis, 365 days a year. The hospital can also treat patients covered by state insurance funds offering to them high quality health care services. The inauguration was done by the Minister of Health Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos. In the inauguration ceremony, Eparch Mr. C. Chrisostomos, the President of Athens Medical Center Dr. George Apostolopoulos and the Mayor of Peristeri Mr. Pachatourides were present. During its speech Dr Vassilis Apostolopoulos, CEO of the group, said: "Athens Medical Group, inaugurated today its new hospital unit in Peristeri, in order to meet the demand of the people of Peristeri and the surrounding areas for the provision of high quality health care services in their area, an area which is densely populated with strong economic activity."
