December 11, 2007 ANEK LINES S.A. announces, pursuant to Law no. 3556/2007 (article 9, par. a and article 21), in combination with the decision no. 1/434/03.07.2007 of the Hellenic Capital Market Committee and following the relevant information dated 10/12/07 provided to our company, that "MORGAN STANLEY AND CO PLC" proceeded on 04/12/2007 to the purchase of 227,000 common registered stocks of our company, acting as a custodian of several shareholders. Following that specific purchase, "MORGAN STANLEY AND CO PLC" holds, also for behalf of its customers, 8,245,182 stocks corresponding to 5.111% of the company's share capital and the respective voting rights instead of the 4.971% of the company's share capital and the respective voting rights it held before the transaction.
